Ingredients for Cookery Classes


Cost: FREE to WASP members.

Come along and learn to cook lots of exciting and interesting Healthy dishes in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. 

This class is suitable for everyone no matter the skill level. We will be making a variety of starters, main courses and desserts. 

There is also the chance to build new friendships and have fun. Creche may be available for this course. 

Monday afternoons - 1:45pm - 3:30pm - from 15th April to 3rd June 2013 at Denny High School - Room G74. Teacher: Mary Petrie.



Health Eating Class
Ingredients you have to bring to the class:

Golden Vegetable Soup: 1 onion; 1 carrot; 400g tin chopped tomatoes; 1 tin Puy lentils;
Chicken Hotpot: 1 onion; 2 chicken breasts: 75g button; mushrooms; Container for soup; Casserole dish for hotpot
Bring £1 to pay for ingredients provided by the tutor/school.

For Curry:  2 boneless chicken thighs, 1 red onion, 400ml tin reduced fat coconut milk, 2 sweet potatoes
For Mousse: 125g dark chocolate (70% solids), 1 small orange, 2 medium eggs

For Soup:  1 onion, 1 carrot, 400g tin kidney beans
For Pie:  1 onion, 2 tomatoes, 500g potatoes, 2 carrots, 2 parsnips, 1 tin puy lentils

Beef Stir Fry & Summer Fruit Pudding
For Stir Fry: 200g frying steak, 1 carrot, 100g mushrooms, 1 green pepper, 1 small courgette
For Pudding: 500g bag frozen berries (defrosted), 250g raspberries, 6 slices white bread
£1 container for stir fry
